Your hearing aid requires a hearing aid battery to power it and keep it working effectively. Depending on the hearing aid type, battery type and usage, a hearing aid battery needs to be changed every 3 to 22 days. You should change your battery whenever the sounds become distorted or faint. Some hearing aids also make beeping sounds to indicate when your power is low. To help extend your battery’s life, turn off your hearing aid when you’re not using it and store it at room temperature.
Remember to always buy unopened batteries and make sure the new battery’s seal is intact. Once the seal is removed, the hearing aid battery begins discharging.
